Tasting on 24th July 2021
Roger Hanley, our wine expert, has chosen three wines and three cheeses for our July tasting (and three Wines for our BBQ tasting in August).
The wines are currently available from Majestic and there's a good saving when bought in a mixed 6.
The cheese can be sourced from most major supermarkets
In tasting order the wine and cheeses are as follows:-
#1. Hidalgo Manzanilla Sherry La Gitana, Spain
£7.99 in mix of 6 or £9.99 a bottle
Cheese: Parlick Fell hard sheep’s cheese (sainsburys)
#2 Johannes Zillinger 'Hyperflux' Grüner Veltliner 2019, Austria
12.99 in a mix of 6 or £14.99 a bottle
Cheese: Boursin Black Pepper. (Waitrose)
#3 Dogajolo Carpineto 2018/19, Toscana, Italy £9.99 in a mix or £12.99 a bottle
Cheese : Comte (Waitrose Tesco & Sainsburys)
Cheese served on Carr's water biscuits or Jacobs crackers.

Wines for a Barbecue
Roger has chosen three wines for our Wines for a BBQ tasting in August.
The wines are currently available from Majestic and there's a good saving when bought in a mixed 6.
The three wines for our August BBQ tasting are as follows:-
#1. Les Vignerons de Tutiac 'The Lion and The Lily' Rosé 2020, Bordeaux. 12.99 or £14.99 a bottle
#2. Gabb Family Chardonnay 2020, Stellenbosch. £10.99 or £14.99 a bottle
#3. LB7 Lisboa Red Reserva 2018. £9.99 or £11.99 a bottle.
